What is the Legal Debt Settlement Service?

Legal debt settlement is a structured, court-supported process of recovering outstanding commercial debts through formal legal channels when amicable collection attempts have been exhausted.AW UAE Legal Debt Settlement service activates a dedicated legal framework — combining business advisory, credit evaluation, and litigation support — to recover what is rightfully owed to your business.

Why would you need this service?

There comes a point in every unresolved debt case where goodwill runs out. When a debtor stops responding, disputes the claim without basis, or simply refuses to engage, the amicable route closes — and every day you wait without escalating is a day the debt becomes harder to recover.  Most businesses at this stage find themselves stuck between two bad options: absorb the loss or navigate a legal system they don’t fully understand alone. What makes it worse is that many creditors delay legal action out of fear of cost, complexity, or damaging a business relationship that, at that point, has already been damaged by the debtor’s own conduct.

Key Benefits:

You get a free business legal case review upfront, so you understand your position before committing any course of action.

From there, our expert legal team handles commercial and financial debt cases with litigation advice tailored specifically to your situation, your debtor’s profile, and the market conditions you’re operating in. Despite the country your debtor’s is resident or moved to, the case is escalated to our registered partner law firm with the local jurisdiction knowledge and commercial litigation experience to move decisively.

We have four flexible legal models available depending on your risk appetite. Whether you want to share the litigation risk, have it funded entirely, or explore portfolio purchase options. The entire process is built around getting you a resolution, not just filing paperwork.

Legal Debt Settlement Process

Step 1 — Free Legal Case Review: a complimentary legal review of the full case whether it’s referred internally from our collection team or submitted for first time is conducted by our lawyers — assessing the strength of the claim, available documentation, debtor profile, and jurisdiction, before recommending any course of action.

Step 2 — Litigation Strategy & Payment Model Selection: Based on the case review, we advise the client on the most appropriate legal route and present the four available legal models: standard litigation, risk-sharing, litigation funding, or portfolio purchase.

Step 3 — Formal Legal Notification to Debtor: A formal legal notice is issued to the debtor, after skip tracing and due diligence is done, signaling the shift from amicable to legal proceedings. This step alone often triggers settlement from debtors who had previously been unresponsive.

Step 4 — Escalation to Registered Partner Law Firms: If the debtor shows no goodwill following formal notification, the case is escalated to one of our registered partner law firms. These firms are selected based on jurisdiction, sector expertise, and track record in commercial debt recovery.

Step 5 — Court Proceedings & Legal Enforcement: The partner law firm initiates formal court proceedings, pursuing judgment and enforcement through the appropriate legal channels — including asset tracing, collateral securing, and judgment enforcement where applicable.

Step 6 — Resolution & Case Closure: Once a settlement is reached or judgment is enforced, the case is formally closed. A final case summary is provided to the client, and where relevant, the case is referred for a Credit Risk Advisory review to prevent the same situation from arising again.
